Malaysia officially started selling Nokia 8110 4G on July 4th. I bought mine 6 days later: 29th or 7th out of 10 yellow units sold at an official Nokia vendor. My postings after July 10 mainly deal with usage whereas before was research. Which colour to choose? It bog me for quite sometime because both colours are appealing eventhough different personalities: the fresh, daring, youthful, fun-loving yellow version or the serious, no-nonsense, business-like ubiquitous black version. I ended up with the yellow version because I tend to misplace my handphone not that the black version is second class citizen. Note: Nokia 8110 4G is a budget phone, don’t do the silly mistake of comparing apples against oranges.
10 reasons why did I bought it?
1. Previous smartphone, faulty, drenched in rainwater as I ride a motorcycle;
2. Drip protection;
3. Tight budget;
4. Butter-fingers so choose polycarbonate case;
5. Small screen allows for a solid grip of the handphone;
6. Prefer keypads because fingers are not sensitive;
7. Good battery life a must. No smartphone can deliver this;
8. Replaceable battery;
9. 4G a must as I use 4G apps;
10. Nokia feature phones are tough as used before
